I am hoping as well, assuming the car holds up Nov 1 at the S197 shootout in Charlotte...

It sounds like fun to me...
Would I be able to run in True Street? ( I think that is one of 2 possible classes I could do, based on my 3.55 rear-end gears. )

Manual transmission class looks like fun to me. I more than likely will be there.

My daughter and I went on Saturday afternoon around 3pm and stayed until the track closed.....
A cold evening but big fun.
We were on the bleachers near the car entrance at about the place they woud shift into 2nd gear......We saw the mustang do a triple wheelie and come down ( apparently something broke on his right front wheel ) and he veered into the other guys lane, just missing the other car and the far wall, after taking out the center cone....that was wild.
A lot of good racing, we will go again anyday !!
Loved the Mustang eating up the (Datsun= 196 mph) ; Mustang = 209 mph...6.84 in the 1/4 mile if I remember the numbers correctly....Wheh !! Way to go Mustangs.
There were some hot import times turned though, gotta watch out for some of them.

I made my personal best E/T sunday. 11.91 @ 115mph. The cobra has alot left in it. I just need to really work on the 60 ft. By the way this shows I have been pounding sand for a while now. Having DRs ( M/T Street DRs) helped my Drop 5 tenths of a second off of my average E/T.

I was running in All Stick E/T. Well the fiirst round I won due to red lighting. The second round I got a little jumpy and eliminated myself by having a -.038 reaction time. Still ran down both imports. It sucks though because every car that I went up against was usually 1 to 3 seconds slower than me. So for me it was all about trying to get my best E/T.

Definitely some good racing all weekend, the imports didnt do as well as they expected. I did get tired of seeing them get pushed off the track though.

Would have liked to have seen a video from inside the Datsun B-210 or whatever that was doing 196 mph, trying to keep it in his lane...his face would have been priceless ... saying something like "Holy #$%! or Holy Imports " He was all over the lane on Saturday night 2nd round.
