Bay Side Mustangs 1st Annual Road Rally

Basic Rally Info:

Rally route will always be on paved county/state maintained roads. No dirt roads, driveways or parking lots. Except into the final destination, most likely a restaurant or something.

The Rally uses terms and abbreviations you should be familiar with. There is a Definitions and Abbreviation sheet as part of the initial handout. Knowing these ahead of time will help staying on course and to answer the route questions.

Check Points will be positioned along the way and are not identified in the directions. The Check Points are a way to insure you are on course and let us know of those that are off course. Extra points may be gained at the Check Points so don’t miss any. The check points are not identified in the Rally directions so watching for the signs is important. If excessive time is spent at a check point, ask Check Point Team to note.
Time will be derived from start time vrs end time.
Mileage will be the difference between the starting and ending odometer readings. If your speedometer/odometer is incorrect please let the Rally Team know and provide the correction factor. Your speedometer may be reading incorrectly because of different tires or gears.

Example: If your speedo is reading 90mph when only doing 60 then your correction factor would be .66

Rally route time and mileage have been verified by the rally originators and were layed out at posted speed limits. Elapsed times/mileage over or under the averages set by the Rally Team the rally car will loose 1 point for every mile or minute of difference.

Speeding or cutting corners will make you loose points.

Getting off the Rally route and covering extra miles make you loose points.

Following the instructions while driving at posted speeds you will NOT loose points.

Please obey all traffic laws and speed limits while on the rally route.

All participants are responsible for their actions while on the rally. The rally route crosses into several different jurisdictions along the way. So be careful.
