OK, I've noticed that the site will only allow a certain size picture to be posted. If it's too large, it will automatically cut off the rest of the pic where as other sites will accept the full size. Why is that?

Bernie, the photo album part of the site used MyPhotoAlbum.com facilities, so any and all "peculiarities" are functions of that site. This would be a good topic for the meeting next weekend, to reconsider alternatives with more bandwidth, features and what not. I don't have admin rights to our section on the MyPhotoAlbum at this point, so I'm not sure if there are parameters that can be tweaked to increase the size of allowable images and such...

GeekStangs, any ideas?

That's good to know however when it comes to IT tech, I'm lost. It's like chineese to me for the most part. However I do understand what you are saying about the pics. It would be nice to have that corrected though. I generally don't post huge pics, but it seems like the standard 800x600 (I think)has been a problem and of course anything larger.

Like I say, I need to get admin access and poke around. It's possible, for example, that we have limitations due to using a free site. Possibly more storage and larger pics come with a monthly fee. Since we're a more informal group without dues (so far), we have to rely on the freebies out there for a while.

Zach, by the way, just started organizing everything that needs to get into the '87. So much for having a relaxing last vacation day inside where it's warm...

Bernie, are you talking about the club photo album on the portal page or just posting pics in your threads from putfile or photobucket sites??

I post pics up to the club photo albums and havent had any issues yet.

Every damn forum is different on how to post the damn things. I got it working. several 800x600s and one larger. Nothing seems cut off though...

EDIT: nix that. It SHRUNK down the 3 800x600s. Something weird is going on here... the first 3 are from putfile, the other one is up on photobucket. let me move those 3 over and see what's up. I wonder if it's a hosting site issue...

Ok, let's see. It appears the first three are like thumb nail types, not full size. Heres the first one I copied.

I put all the images on photobucket at 800x600 and they work fine. I have problems with putfile. that's good to know. Mine are all the right size and nothing is clipped.

Yep, he's out there grinding bolts on the tubular kmember for fitment, and I think he's going to drop it in today. We'll see, it was pretty damn cold (and windy) out there earlier.

Are right, we have some experimentation to do with images. More later...

What about a larger pic John, try one if you have one. I don't understand why my 800x600 is cut off. What size resolution for your monitor are you using. I think mine is set at the 1024 one.
