Re: 2009 Philly Cheesesteak Run - 4/11/09
If I'm free, I'd like to join in on this.
There's these two competing cheesesteak places in South Philly called Pats, and Gino's, right across the street from each other.
My daughter goes to Temple U, and lives in an apt just a few blocks from there, and we had our first Pat's sub a few weeks ago.
MMMMMmmmmmm....
But the roads suck around there. Oh well.

Pats and Genos are too touristy. The sandwich is more expensive and you don't get as much meat. I think it's fun to take people there that have never had a cheesesteak, but I don't go there with people that want to truely enjoy a cheesesteak. Plus they definitely wouldn't have enough parking!
I went to Drexel, btw, so I know Philly very well

I've been to Philly once, but it was a solo road trip to see Metallica's Summer Sanitarium Tour back in '03. I drove directly to the stadium and back again with no sidetracking/sight seeing. This cruise seems like it'd be great!

Oh I'm so in!
Has this been posted in MustangForums? There are a lot of PA/DE/NJ area people who would enjoy a cruise or meet in/around Philly.
edit: it's now posted in MustangForums. Ponies have to represent!

I should be around for this run. . . although the food may taste the same no matter how quickly you get there, the parking situation and line for the food does change. All out race to Philly !!!
