Update on Dad

Good to hear he's getting well. My prayers are with you.

Dad was doing really good yesterday and the doctor came by at 3:45 pm and said he was good to go. We just had to wait for a nurse to go over his prescriptions/restrictions and then discharge him. Well that didn't happen until 5:45 pm. Talk about a long time to wait to leave! After everything was gone over, questions were asked/answered, we were on our way home at just after 7 pm. Dad's doing ok, but gets tired quickly, so he has been sitting in his recliner napping a lot. So far, the toughest thing for him, has been not lifting his left arm above his shoulder while his chest heals. He'll have to wear the sling to keep him from moving it quite so much. I remember what it was like to not have use of a limb when my leg was in a cast and I was on crutches for 6 weeks a few years ago

Is he a righty or lefty? Would suck if he was a lefty! Would suck if he was a righty too...no stranger action!

He's a righty, but there are day to day things he uses his left hand for as well. Hair washing for one will be "different" with just one hand. I don't even want to know about the "other"
