car cover advice needed asap
So as some of you know I will be going back to vegas and then arizona for school by way of towing my car on a trailer behind a rental truck.
My question is how do I tow it without messing up my paint? I was just going to throw a cover over the car and call it good until i went to the last NVMC meeting. I talked to guy there who said he did the same with his car ( a black focus i think) and he said after he removed the cover the paint was all scratched up from the cover moving up and down on the paint and he couldnt get rid of the scratches even through buffing.
what do you guys think? should i try a cover or none at all? itll be going 2400 miles behind a truck so i dont know. I wish i could get some of that wrap that new cars come in from the factory to the dealership but i dont even know what it is made of.
Help please I leave wednsday

Hey man... best of luck to all your adventures.
I have never had any scratches from trailoring my car. It actually sits higher than any rocks can hit. With all of the sand and dirt that will be blowing and moving the cover around it could easily scratch the car. I would leave it uncovered for teh trip. Minus a sandstorm you will be fine... however you dont want a cover inside of a sandstorm either...

Wish you the best man. It was great meeting you at the DC cruise. Hope it all works out for you over there. And you dont have to worry about a car cover

gl man! i would def say leave the cover off for above said reasons. if you have time you could always get a clear bra sprayed on if that's a route you are willing to travel. just a thought.

The Stang should be fine uncovered unless some freak thing happens...which it won't
Glad I caught up with you Friday, Ron
Have a great and safe trip out west! I'll come out to see you...hopefully next year sometime I've always wanted to go out there and now I have one more reason to do so!

Have a safe trip. Your car should be fine but you could probably try a few trash bags or bed sheets.

vegasgt also if you'd like i can detail it before you go to help with the trip. i can polish it and seal it so that whatever gets on it during the trip you can just rinse off along the way/once you arrive in az. let me know if you are interested.
