Axle Back Exhaust -- Comments please!! Empty Axle Back Exhaust -- Comments please!!

Post by Chris_5.0 Mon Nov 09, 2009 7:30 pm

Alrighty guys, looking for comments on some axle-back exhaust. I'm looking for the most throaty I can get out of a 2006 V6. I know it won't sound anything near a V8, but the closest thing I can get would be awesome! I've done some research and I'm looking for comments/opinions/suggestions, anything you're willing to throw at me. Here's what I've got so far:

1. AeroTurbine Axle Back - $259

2005-2010 V6 AeroTurbine Axle Back

Part# 91A100

MRT applied their engineering knowledge and Mustang enthusiasm to design and development a custom 2005-2010 Mustang MRT AeroTurbine axle back system. This exclusive system consists of high quality, lightweight Stainless Steel construction and comes with 3-1/2" welded-on high chrome exhaust tips. The MRT AeroTurbine axle back system gives you the toughest "muscle car" sound for your Mustang available on the market today!

$259.99

2. MAC Boomtube Exhaust - $199

Boom Tube Features
- 4" polished stainless steel tips and angle-cut rolled edges; unpolished
- 2.5" stainless steel exhaust tubing with fast flowing mandrel bends
- Compatible with factory and aftermarket exhaust systems
- Installation hardware and detailed instructions included
- 100% bolt-on kit, no cutting or welding required
- 50 state emissions legal
- Install time: 1 hour
- Lifetime warranty

3. Mustang GT Takeoff - < $100

I am not sure what sounds the best, but if you decide on the gt take offs I have mine that I took off with only 2000 miles and I live in Damascus as well. Shoot me an offer if you are interested.

Dude, first I'm moving this thread to the feed back forum, second, listen to the real exhaust in person, you cant really tell on a video, you can check out the Loudmouths on Alex's V6 and you can check out the MAC's on my V6, you got to get the rite one on the car because on the V6 they can sound completely different then the GT, and they can sound real bad, ask Alex, he had the Magnaflows I think, and even he hated them, I listened to a lot of them before I went with the MAC's, but I think they sound the best, if you want louder the Borla's sound good as well, but make sure you here them in person, and they sound even better under a load while driving.
If your going on the Sonic cruise this weekend, both Alex and my self will be there.

Think I'm going to go with the Take-offs. Cheapest option for now -- most bang for the buck. I'll keep you posted on a before and after video for reference.

LUCKY!!! haha I took it down the street without the mufflers and OH MY GOD was it loud, and obnoxious. If I took it down a development I would've set off car alarms! Oh well, stupid mufflers... haha
