Re: New Year's Day Cruise - Southern Maryland to Tappahannock
Well - at 11:00 in the parking lot of the Twin Kiss, 85 miles from my house, I started wondering " Maybe I should have checked the forum to see if it was cancelled " By 11:30 I was Positive that I should have checked !! Anyway the weather was partly cloudy 35 degrees; Only saw 3 accidents on the way there - other cars and trucks were probably left overs from New Years Eve crashes. The roads were slippery early in the morning - it was an adventure.... Ended up at Bass Pro Shop on the way back.
Had to wash my car to peel off some of the salt covering....
It used to be used as a preservative on ______ .
I Cruised.

I am so so sorry about this. We tried to make a decision as early as possible. If you decide to make the trek again on Sunday I will buy you lunch.

Not a bad turnout considering weather and time of year I was thinking about joining in for this, but April was sitting in the driveway with a flat tire (nice big screw) and the tire shop was closed Fri/Sat. She's all fixed now! Nice pics, Alex!

Were all those pics taken in Auto mode (even your old cam pic)? If so, sun position can help or hinder your pics greatly! Playing around with the manual settings will help some, but sometimes the sun wins! I'm sure with yourself, Bronson and I now all with the same camera, we can hook up and try and figure it outDarkNightV6 wrote:See.

P.S. I know why your old cam pic turned out better in the above examples....I was in it!!!!

Looking at the EXIF, you had the saturation set to 'high' on the Panasonic. The Canon doesnt list what it was set to, but it looks like its not set the same.
John,
They were both taken in Auto, and the settings the camera chose were nearly identical.
Canon - 1/500, F4, ISO 80, 0 EV, Pattern metering
Panasonic - 1/500, F5, ISO 80, 0 EV, Pattern metering
