RedDevil got beat by an Import!

So my good friend Ryan recently get both his G35 and his 240SX back from JE Imports. His 240 is not a threat at 2800lbs and 255rwhp; however, his G35 is a monster now. The engine was fully built with forged internals, ported heads, high lift cams, the works. He is also now runnig 15 psi boost. We were driving last night and I was trying to mess with a 2010 Camaro that didn't want to play but it opened up the road to finally have a go at the G. We started from 80mph and he took me by about half a car length in the time it took to top out 3rd then 4th gear. Afterwards, we slowed to about 40mph and he pulled almost a full car length on me to 100.
Obviously, I'm devastated. Luckily, I have parts which are waiting to go on but the need to install is grown tremendously. ha ha ha. Anyone feel like an install day next week? I've got BMR K-member, Kooks LT headers, GT500 TB and 4.10 gears which NEED to go in soon.
Then I will have my vengeance . . .

BTW, I have appropriated most of my tax returns and bonus to my divorce, however I hid just enough to buy new valve springs for my car... If all goes well, it will be on the road again soon... maybe in time for GOOTC, or maybe a run against your buddy's car

Sorry to hijack. But dude stay far away from them they are the biggest pile steaming poo . Its garbage. I use to work on them and I hated same with my boss. And he was a big import fan. I don't want to list my issues with it so I won't. Your best bet is to look around for a fox body. They really cheap now and fairly cheap to make go fast. Or you could go the honda route. Both cars are built well and the aftermarket is there. But no matter what you choose do it the right way.

Well, look at it this way, Mike... At least it wasn't a stock or near stock import that got you! And with the time to upgrade your go parts, as you say, "It's only money!"

those 3.5L Nissan V6's are very restricted and have pretty good potential. my buddy's mildly modded 6 speed 03 max with just a advaced auto parts CAI, u/d pullies, delete plates ,full exhaust, and a good tune destroyed my fox back when i just had a catback, u/d pullies and 3:73 gears. he got it down to a 12.6 at imports vs domestics last year with that setup. dont feel left out i was surprised too when that nissan walked me but taught me a lesson

I consider a car that will be lower in the 11's than me to be fast. Hell, anything in the 11's or 12's is fast. (1/4 mile of course)

Lol. Those G are sick. Stock the G35 has 300 the G37 has like 330 and there V6's. My buddies M45 will run with the stangs no problem. And were talking about a 4 door luxury sedan here. No coup.
