Re: FR500 w/Roush front?
FR500's are extremely popular, but they look good :p Where did they originally come from?
The anthracites seem to look a little drab on light silver, it is all photoshop, not with true lighting, etc. but seems to miss the spark. It looks awesome on a deeper gray, seen some pics on new edge models. How do the black chromes hold up? I seen pictures on MF and their black chrome was all peeling, but possibly due to winter driving. Black is alright, and seems they have a nice pkg deal on cruizin concepts. Comes out to less than $300 wheel w/tire mounted, balanced and shipped.

After a bit of thinking last night, the 2010 GT500 wheels look like a fancy version of the wheels I have now :O

Re: FR500 w/Roush front?
The FR500 Mustang was introduced in '99 as a purpose built Ford built race car and the wheels were designed specifically for that car.
I know the black chrome I have doesn't like to be bumped...I already have 2 or 3 spots were it has been bumped and flaked off. Small, but I know they're there I had them out in the winter weather once and they are ok, but don't plan on doing it again. I got the black chrome from cruzinconcepts as they were about the only place at the time to have the 18x10.

Re: FR500 w/Roush front?
I may just go with the black then. Hopefully the paint will be more durable, as I can be rough at times, pot holes, etc.
Not sure how I'll get the new wheels on the car, I can't get up the driveway into the garage

Can't seem to find any pictures on goggle, silver s197 with black FR500 wheels. I do see silver new edge's (which are darker than satin silver) with the anthracites though. There's a pretty nice silver s197 with the black ones on AM, but the car is stealthed out, which I don't plan to do.
So indecisive. At work I was thinking of tossing that black pkg. into the shopping car tonight, now I don't know again.

Re: FR500 w/Roush front?
How long does that deal last? If there was a time/place we could hook up, I'd bring a front and rear FR500 that we could swap on your car. Of course they're black chrome, but you would see exactly what the FR500 would look on your car before buying.

It's said to be a "clearance special" on their website, but doesn't state when the sale ends.
With the popularity of the FR500's in black and Nitto 555's.. I honestly don't think they are clearing out anything for good.. may just be a marketing tactic, though I think the price is close to a steal. Equals out to be about $285 a corner.
The black chrome is hot, but I'm afraid I'll scratch it up or hit a pothole, etc.
I'm busy this Saturday, but should be free on Sunday and I don't have anything planned the following weekend. Think it would be best to hook up on a weekend, since it starts to get dark when I get out of work. What does your schedule look like?

Being a week away, it shouldn't be too much trouble. Maybe even a get together with several of the gang for lunch or somethingalkemist wrote:sounds good to me. Guess we need to figure out where to meet and all that fun stuff
I keep jack stands and a jack in the trunk at all times, so all I'll need is a flat place big enough to park two cars

Sounds great to me I live or did live near Laura, lol, not sure where she moved to. My drive is sloped (hill) so that kinda puts a snag in it. I can travel to where ever, MD, VA, I'm pretty flexible.

Any ideas where to meet up?
lol, I can't think of any hot spots. Not sure if you wanted to do this at someone's place or just in a lot somewhere?

Re: FR500 w/Roush front?
here's some pictures I took today with John's wheels. They look pretty good. I'm thinking of just going with the glossy black instead of chrome black. I love the chromes but not sure how well they will hold up with my driving.

Re: FR500 w/Roush front?
Those do look good on your car! Now you can photochop your car with some drop and see what a huge difference it makes! I agree on the painted black as the chrome doesn't like contact... I've already got a few "oops" spots

Re: FR500 w/Roush front?
The Nitto 555's extreme performance I was looking at are 285/40/18 and the tires John has were 285/50/18. So it won't be as tall. hmmm.
I'm probably going to wait a few more weeks to let the temperature warm up a bit so when I get the setup in, I can just slap them on.

Re: FR500 w/Roush front?
Laura's Sally wears the 285/40-18 on the back (about 2" shorter than my 285/50-18). 275/40-18 up front. We both have the 18x10 rear and 18x9 front wheels.

Re: FR500 w/Roush front?
I'm trying to see if I can get AM to price match for me or get it close. I hear good and bad things about CC, so I'm not sure if I want to pick them. If AM falls through, then I'll see about placing that order with CC.
Anyone know if you have to pay shipping on wheel and tire setups from Cruizin Concepts?
