Just making sure everything is stock... the stock heads, are embossed on the front, driver side right next to the valve cover. Mine's embossed with 91. Just checking to see if anyone knew what they're supposed to be embossed with or if I can find another embossing in a different location. I've hunted around some forums and couldn't find anything but one guy posted that he raced a fox that was supposedly stock and was embossed with a "24" in that same corner.

Should have the E7 in the rocker valley, not sure about particular exterior markings. Usually a series of verticle bars is an indicator of GT40 heads, cant recall the number though.

Ok, well, i'm going for the gt-40ps which I believe were on the Explorer (97-00) and the Mercury Mountaineers. I will have to purchase new headers because of the spark plugs new angled location. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have found a pair that are supposed to work on Latemodelrestoration for $239.99, they're the Ford Racing P Shorty Headers (btw, I do NOT want longtubes)

Ok, well I ended up buying a whole 98' 5.0 302 explorer engine from a junkyard near us. My Father knew the owner, and I only payed $450, and it ran when it was taken out. I know i'm taking off the heads, upper/lower intake with t/b But, is there any other parts anyone would recommend taking off to put to good use on my fox?
