OCT. 16th NVMC Drag Day @ Mason Dixon

It's that time again! Northern Virginia Mustang Club is having their private track rental at Mason Dixon Dragway on the 16th of October. This is from 8am to 12pm.

You DO NOT have to be a NVMC member to go to this rental. If you are interested please send money via Paypal to Enforcir@gmail.com. It is $52.00 a vehicle. Cyril is his name. He is the President of NVMC.

I'd be shooting for a low 13 as well in the Focus. Might be an interesting matchup.

not yet...lol.......things have been sloooooow....in more ways than one , from work to my ride!!!! hopin' for a tail wind to scoot my ride down the track, otherwise it'll just be dissapointment again with a mid 13

You know Will, I've yet to pull an engine out of an S197. I've heard with a lift the easiest way is dropping the front suspension. But I wonder with the hood off if there is sufficient room? I can't recall if you still have a 4.6 or put in a 5.4...

I think I can pull this engine out in my sleep. This will be the 4th time ...

Always take mine out through the top. I wish I had a lift. Might go faster. The 26 spline is a PITA to line up when coming through the top. Its a 4.6 block.

The headers and turbos come out with the engine, all the cold side gets taken off. I should really call off camping this weekend and pull the engine... I want to drive this thing so bad... prolly sell it afterwards lol. do a nate...

My son and I have been there, with multiple Fox Body projects that went no where. While it took some doing, all the rollers and engines and trannys and stored parts finally got sold off and even given away. We're left with an '84 SVO that just got a low mileage replacement 2.3l turbo. After blowing one head gasket on that, Zach finally just dialed back the boost so it's safe, runs 15s, and gets him around reliably day to day. It was a hard lesson and lots of $$$ for him, but he's there.

so you are planning on attending now according to your post on nvmc??? cool!!!!! the more the merrier...............the only sad part for me is that it seems I'll be the slow guy out there I hate reading peoples licences plates from the back!!!! I want 12's too!!!!!!!

lol, I wouldn't be so sure of that, v-sixers are a handful for me

It's Laura's birthday and wanted to hit the track, so we're hitting the track--we're paying up tonight. Forecast doesn't look good for the entire weekend though, and Ford Fever in MIR may get a delay.
