Winter Project on my '90 LX.....Merry Christmas...

For Christmas the wifey let me get the car painted.....we are going with 2011 Red Candy Metallic which is very similar to the Wild Strawberry Metallic factory color of the car....Here are a few pics so far...

I loved that color. I had a 93 coupe painted ford strawberry. Will look great. It is nice to have a wife who gives stang presents for the holidays. Congrads.

Hey now I gave Honey Bunny Magnaflow dual exhaust for her b-day and Coldair intake for our anniversary , thats love right there.

I'm a career Lt at the F.D. here and we had an alarm at 1230am for the street where the car is being painted and I about had a heart attack!!! Called dispatch and asked, "Is it Stan's????"...Hahaha...my crew thought it was hilarious.

Looks Great! That color is really going to be jaw dropping when it gets in the sun. So, you going to keep those 10 holes forever? Shiny paint goes with shiny wheels

And yea that's what I would've done with it too, but it's your car, and i'm sure you're going to be in love with it even more when it gets out of the shop!

Thanks for the kind words! I have been building this car for the past 5 years, two of which the drivetrain was removed and the car pushed in the corner of the garage as I have had extra $$$ from OT. Now I'm gettin' excited!!!

Looking good...takes time to get her looking aggressive! The color looks good! Another Fox on the road is music to my ears!

Yes, I stopped by the other day and they are filling in a few blemishes on the hood that showed up after paint and will repaint it, replacing both door lock actuators and nader bolts in the doors as the bushing is wore out.....gonna have just about a new car....just want it back when salt/cinders are off the road in a weather window...

update....stopped by today to drop off the new nader bolts and all the glass is in, going to reshoot the hood after filling, sealing and blocking it to remove the minor blemish...hoping to have it back before another round of three days of snow up here hits in Friday....we might have to wait till next week to keep it out of the salt and cinders.

Picked the car up today as we were blessed with a small window in time with the weather up here...paint looks great! Will post some pics when I get time. Learned something....don't rattle can any of your fiberglass!!! They painted my hood 4 times and it kept rejecting the paint and they thought it might be a fiberglass issue as the top coat of the rattlecan was rock solid when they sanded it down...However....the base flat black I laid down I had left a chemical issue...it was only after my wife "reminded" me that I had painted it black way back when that the mystery was resolved and now it looks awesome....paint guy was about to lose his mind on my account, but we all had a good laugh and all turned out well.
