Track times from Today
Motor Mile Speedway down here opened today so me and some other guys from the car club went and ran our cars.
This was my first trip with the rebuilt engine and rearend.
Best times were:
2.17 -- 60 ft
8.99 -- 1/8 mile (only an 1/8 mile track)

I've been to cecil twice and MotorMile probably 3 or 4 times
Re: Track times from Today
Oh gotcha. Seems like the 60 ft times should be a little lower with those times, have wheel spin?

Re: Track times from Today
Here is a video compilation:
When you see me from the side is my best run a 8.99 s beating the 2010 camaro ss:)
Here I am racing another Fox. Dusted him :p
Another run against a stock eclipse:
Worst run of the day... I spun all the way through first and when i shifted into 2nd, i heard a huge bang noise from the rearend so i backed off of it and coasted through...you can see the rear end slide out after 1st gear

Re: Track times from Today
we need to get that mph up some, one thing I've been wondering about your car is how accurately the timing is set, I know we set base to 13-14 but if that balancer has slipped on the ring, that may explain the complaint you have had and mean that the timing could be lower than what it is reading due to a slipped ring, one way to tell is advance the timing and if car doesn't ping and if it becomes more responsive as well, then we can suspect balancer.RTW0223 wrote:mjr46 wrote:how did I miss this thread....lol, good runs, get some sticky tires Ryan!!! what was the MPH on the runs Ryan??

Re: Track times from Today
bump it 2 more degrees, but I went back last night and looked at my time slips for my 92 calypso notch I used to have and right before I sold it , it ran the best et it had ever run and 60's were in the 1.7 range on 26x10.50 slicks with 3.73's , it would bog a tad = not enough gear, anyway I was running 13.4's @ 101-102 and the 1/8 times were 8.6-8.7's @ 79-80 mph, so that gives you an idea, and although my car was carb'd it had a f-cam, roller tip rockers, stock bottom end and ported e7 heads, so mine was comparable to your build, but you have a tad better head and cam so I'd expect a little more out of yours and I think it has some more, you need some slicks or better sticky tire, launch hard and maybe add 2 degrees more timing and see how it responds, with all that, I'm sure you can lower the et .3 to .5 more
