Seat install Empty Seat install

Post by Big Blue Fri Apr 27, 2012 5:25 pm

I want to get a pair of corbeau Seats for the car, but I dont see where anyone has installed aftermarket seats and used the original Power Seat assy, does anyone know anything about this kind of install, I have no intention of losing me 6 way power for a 2 way slide track.
Its not really a big deal, I was just hoping to find someone that has done it, I was told I couldn't install a B&M Mega Shifter in an S197 and did it anyway, works way batter then stock and way better then the $400 TCI as well, so I know I can do it, it's just easier if you can see how it's been done by someone else instead of doing it yourself fist LOL

You would have to cut the rails out of the stock seat, then weld/fab up connections to the aftermarket seats. The rails are attached to the seat frame so there is a lot of cutting/fabbing. Most who have tried found that it makes the seat way to high, thats why they use the aftermarket rails.
