Suggested HID foglight kit
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good HID company for my fog lights on my 07 GT. I'm not exactly wanting to spend 150+ for a kit but if that is going to be what is suggested then I'll take quality.

Re: Suggested HID foglight kit
there a PITA, just saying, if your car is a DD and it does not reside in a garage and you put the miles on like I do in any weather, including {and I shiver at the thought, pardon the pun} snow, you will be fixing them every 6 months to a year, that being said, I haven't gone back to stock cause I like them, so every 6 months to a year I fix the wiring or put a new ballast on, one of these days there going By By
So everyone seems to have good luck with these, except me LOL http://www.ddmtuning.com/Product-Categories/HID-Kits-Lighting/HID-Kits

Listen to this guy!!!! He is absolutely correct on everything he said.
I had the ddm kit for my 92 on it until about a month ago. I had to replace the ballasts 3 times already over the course of 3 years. I got tired of it and ripped it all out!! Plus, if you dont have projection light housings stick to silverstars.

I've changed my headlights to the smoked halo lights that american muscle sells and have changed that to HID but after driving on some dark back roads out in the country I'm thinking of changing those out to projector HID sets lol. My fog lights have the nice little smoked covers on them which I like the look of but want a good light which will light things up further if I need to lol. Thank you both for the information

Sadly yes, I first dd them myself and something in them broke second set I went to the local ford dealer and had them install them. They were closer but not exact and now with the HID kit its slightly more noticeable. I'm tempted to bite the bullet so to speak and spend 440 for a set of HID projector headlights sold by stangmods.com I know its a large chunk of change but if these headlights dont really cut it and the highbeams dont exactly work as I want them I might just have toBig Blue wrote:Hey I have the same ones on blue, I cant get them to adjust up high enough, do you have this problem?nicholasa631 wrote:I've changed my headlights to the smoked halo lights that american muscle sells n

Ya I have GT style fog/driving lights and with the HID's the light the road fine, but like I said, the headlights in those AM buckets are useless.nicholasa631 wrote:Sadly yes, I first dd them myself and something in them broke second set I went to the local ford dealer and had them install them. Re: Suggested HID foglight kit
I ended up getting a set of headlights and foglights by a company called Xentec they only run about 40-45 dollars and are bright as hell. I paid about $42 with shipping from amazon. I just thought I would put that information out for anyone interested

Sounds like a good price. Hope they work out for you. Sometimes it seems to be hit or miss with these kits
