New Sub Box for Black Betty / Work in progress....
So I ordered this Box because it looks much sweeter the only problem is that I wanted to keep my Mach 460 speakers and amp because they sound great IMO.
I had to remove the Mach 460 rear deck rack which holds the speaker and the amps. In order fot me to keep the Mach 460 speakers I had to cut the speaker rack to remount the speakers to the deck.
Here is the old set up as you can see not much trunk space and the box was just short enough to wedge under the Mach 460 speaker/amp rack.
Here is a picture of the new one ( On a side note I need to replace the trunk carpet as well.)
This is mach 460 speaker/amp rack
I cut off the portion that holds the speakers from the rack to maintain the factory amps and speakers. I am not trying to pay for new speakers and wire it all up.
I am still need to mount the speakers into the pieces I cut off and find a way to make it look nice. I also nee to figure out where to mount the two amps.
Would anyone know where to get the carpet used to cover up the speaker boxes. I am thinking about wrapping the pieces I cut off with it to make it look better or even make an amp rack..

Do you leave your seats down when using that so it doesn't overheat? It almost seems like you would have to do that.

No I haven't had it over heat with it up. I do put the seat down though, just because it sounds better to me.

I have the Rockford Fosgate Punch 401S 2 Channel Amplifier
100 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms - 200 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms - 1200 watts bridged at 1 ohm 400 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms - stereo or bridged mono output - 1-ohm stable in bridged mode.
Installed with a 8-gauge power and ground leads wiring and hardware.
I have this pushing my 2 Alpines and they sound awesome. I have had these for about 5 years and it till pounds!!!

thanks for the info. A few years back I upgraded all the speakers to Rockford Fosgate. They can really thump and sound really good at low levels as well. New subs and amps are next up on the list so this will be one of the options.

I can tell you the Alpines I have sound great and these are old as well. In my opinion, I am sure the new ones sound better with all the new technology and all.
