Mustang of the Quarter Nomination
Hey all! Been a while since I have posted on here and for a good reason.... I haven't had my mustang in her stable for 8 weeks... because she just got a fresh coat of paint!!
She has been 0utfitted with all new trim from CJ's and a new Cervini's cowl hood.
Check out the pictures:

Wow looks really nice! Who did the work? Just wondering how much did that run you? I might have another car that needs it done.

Re: Mustang of the Quarter Nomination
Thanks guys. I haVe a few more odds and ends still to do to "complete" the paint job. Stuff like i need to put on all new badges. I got a new antenna, but i think i just found out yesterday i need a whole new antenna cable and base kit. I also have a new hood release cable because the current one is broken. also a new shifter boot and bezel.
I also am looking to get new rims and tires to compltcomplete the look.

When the weather is actually above 50 WITH the sun out, I can get her out of the garage and get some good pictures.
Re: Mustang of the Quarter Nomination
Very nice work. Glad you kept the original Color too. Many get tempted to go a whole different route. Can't wait for our first meet this spring or when ever another comes through.

Yeah I was really tempted to go with a color change to a grabber blue type color. I decided to stay with the OE color due to cost and I didn't want any jams or the engine bay to mismatch. Plus calypso green is such an original and vibrant color.
I plan to come out to a lot more cruises, especially whenever I get around to having 3.73s installed, making her more drive-able
Re: Mustang of the Quarter Nomination
Awesome glad to here it! And 3.73 is much better driving around with FI. I just picked up a 97 cobra. Needs some love but it's not too bad. Still have the 08 too. My understanding that some of the way the fox is setup isn't that much different from the SN95 cars. So I will probably be on with more questions. It's going to need some paint work too.......

My current debate right now is what rims/tires to get and if I should do a 5 lug swap. I currently have a drag setup that is 4 lug, so a 5 lug swap would ruin all of that. I want to put 315s out back but i think that would provide a lot of fitment issues.
Re: Mustang of the Quarter Nomination
Yeah my 08 has 315s out back on an 11 inch wide rim. Thats really close on that car. I imagine a fox it would need rolled fenders or something. Depending on the rim though and the offset. I modify wheels all the time at work in the machine shop. I can shave them down on the back pad to help give more clearance. I also do Bolt pattern changes and bore the center bores or make hub rings for proper fitting to axles. Let me know if you need any help.

I have already rolled my rear fenders. I'm really not looking to get involved with trimming/shaving or modifying the actual rim.
Re: Mustang of the Quarter Nomination
Gotcha just thought I would offer since most people don't even know it can be done.

Yeah, I was doing some research on this and saw someone shaved his rim by 1.5" and I was like wtf haha
Re: Mustang of the Quarter Nomination
Yeah I wouldn't do that. I only do what is safe for structure of the wheel. I did 2 inches 1 time for an f450 and 1.25 for a lambo. But I don't think any wheel that fits a mustang could even go 1.5. You would be missing the lug seats in the lug holes....

You all are killin me!
The cobras look meaner but the sc's look overall better. I'm not a complete fan of the overall design of the SC's spokes, though
