2009 NVMC Drag Day's

It's
that time again Mustangers & Special Invitees! We have our 2009
schedule of "Test -n- Tune" dates. They are on Saturday's and are
listed above.
1. Drivers Attire- No Shorts, No Tank Tops, No Open toed Shoes/Sandals/Flip Flops
2. Safety Requirements-Make
Sure your vehicles safety equipment is up to par with your ET/MPH (view
the Drag Racing SFI requirements in the Drag Racing Forums). Review
this you WILL NOT be able to participate if you or your vehicle is not
within these set standards, and ther are nor refunds.
3. Personal Conduct-No Reckless Driving to or from the Drag Day.
4. Track Conduct-10 mph speed limit on the return service road and pits, no Burn Outs in the Pits.
5. Track Registration-Once
you are at the track sign the non liability waiver and fill your
registration form out that we will give you at the gate and bring the
large portion to Ebby or Myself. The wrist band that we will give all
drivers goes on your LEFT wrist.
6. Track Information-Listen to the track tower for all instructions during the event !!
7. Visitors & Crew-You are authorized (1) free Crew Member (track policy) after that it's $10.00/per visitor/spectator.
8.Participation Fee's-Your
entrance FEE is for (1) driver per car, any one wishing to drive your
vehicle must pay the racer entrance fee, get a wrist band and sign the
waiver. The fee is $60.00 at the Gate (day of event), $50.00 Pre-Paid
at Meet or $52.00 Pay Pal (enforcir@gmail.com)
9. Race Fuel-
it is not guarenteed that "Race Fuel" will be available at Cordermans
Fuel (on site) so you might want to have your own supply if you require
special fuel.
10. Inclimate Weather-
If the event is Canceled due to weather, your payments are fully
refundable. If you have prepaid and find that you cannot participate on
the given date you MUST do the following to have your money refunded or transferblue to the next date available.

What did you do??? Remove one of your legs making it impossible to work both pedals at the same time???

I doubt I'll be hitting 12s...again. I'm not in the mood to totally strip the car down like last year. Maybe I can pull off some 13.3s BUT, if I can get my LTs on...I may be close to 12s anyways. If that's the case, I'll at least take out the stuff in the trunk and try Show of hands, who's goin to the first NVMC drag day 10498

I added my delete plates, finally. For normal street machines they do jack, but they are a top end mod for sure. At GOOTC I'll be running my Bullitt knock offs with drag radials, but at the first NVMC drag rental, I'll be on lightweight Bogart drag wheels and ET Streets. If I'm not in the 11s I'll at least be close.

Anyway all 3 of us could go down the track side by side for a Patriotic pass??? Of course, you guys would have to lift a few hundred feet early to let me catch up...

Yeah, red white and blue! That would be badass. I don't think the track guys would go for it though

LOL! People are getting the seat time Bernie in the s197 platform, and there are a handful of us on stock block and heads (with just bolt-ons and a decent cam) that are breaking into the 11s, or almost there. A guy here in MD from RadMustangs JUST ran a 11.7, full interior, spare, etc on drag radials!!!! I believe he had a brand new intake manifold from JPC sitting on top, and I think Justin Burcham actually drove the car. To quote you, Justin drove it like he stole it! I'll be getting an early production run intake manifold from C&L for this car either next week or the week after, so I need to generate some numbers on the delete plates to properly document the gains (or losses), then let her rip with the new intake.

Once I get consistent 11s, then it's on to better breathing heads, maybe a new bottom end (although I'd rather blow up what I have first) and chasing 11.5 and having the excuse to get a roll cage, lighter race seats, and pushing NA even further. I'm going to two NMRA races this year so I really got to have a handle on what's in there now though. After that, stroker and some spray and I've got a 10 sec street car that I'll likely hand off to Zach...
