Has a short throw. However its design is the same as the stock shifter. It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

As far as banging gears the MGW and PRO 5.0 are the leaders. They have built in stops so you dont bend shifting forks. However I have never seen a bent shifting fork from banging gears. The MGD and PRO 5.0 will have a more solid feal because of the center heim joint construction.

With that said the MGW and PRO 5.0 are little more than twice that cost.

The Hurst will be better than the stock piece, but in comparisson to all the options for shifters its lower on the spectrum.

That would really be a personal perference. I would suggest you drive a car that has a shifter nistalled and feel the difference. If you like to shift, and drive agressivly at times a shifter can be a world of a difference to a driver.

A more precise feel than the stock slush stick, can put a smile on a true driver.

Again... its all personal preference.

That may be, but your link clearly states "push button electronic shifter". Shifter Help/Input 434531

Laura, I took my Hurst out and put in a MGW and you can HAVE it if you want it. Hell, any of us can install it for you in 30-45 mins and you can see if you like it. I ASSUME that the one I got for the '05 fits all years....

Laura I have a HURST shorty shifter in my car (if you wanna try it you can) and I LOVE it...it's great when you get out on the highway and wanna bang through them gears. It was also great at the track although I'm not racing anymore.

Laura, I have both the white ball shifter and the aluminum "t-handle" 70s style grip. The latter looks cool and is fun to use EXCEPT when speed shifting at the track. I'll put up pics if you want...

You guys are SO bad sometimes.

Laura, my shifter is your shifter. You'll love the feel when you grip it and row it back and forth. As the RPMs climb you will feel it come to life in your hand...

Ok boys, are we done spanking the monkey yet?!?!? Sheesh!

Laura, my shifter, my Hurst shifter, is yours. Free. It's collecting dust. If you like it, keep it and enjoy it. The feel is a bit "firmer" or notchier than the stock shifter, but that's why some folks like it. If not, I'll swap the stocker back in and put it back on the shelf.

Let me know.
