OC Mustang Show Award Sponsorship?

I have been talking with the Southern MD Mustang Club regarding contributions for the upcoming OC Mustang Show in Ocean City, MD (Saturday 5/16/09). An idea developed that they could sponsor a speciality award to be presented at the event. It would be a good opportunity to promote your club & also help cover some costs that MCOM incur in holding the free event. So I wanted to see if the MD Patriot Stangs & Fords would be interested? I'm thinking $50 to cover the cost of the award and help cover some of the MCOM cost of the event.

We already have participant vote awards for the following classes...64-78, 79-93, 94-04, 05+, Best in Show & Club Participation. In order to reduce the chance of someone winning two awards, maybe we could have the MPSF award as focused on best motor, best paint, most unique, best V6 or some other speciality.

It would be a great opportunity to advertise your club and help support this event. And I'm always open to suggestions & new ideas.

I'll put in 50 for best black 05 twin turbo mustang, with red interior. that possibly or possibly might not run.

Seriously, I need to get back to the manufacturer if MPSF is interested in sponsoring an award. Best daily driver would be difficlut to judge as you wouldn't know which cars are daily drivers. I'd say best motor or best V6 would be good categories. I'm open to other suggestions though.

OK OK, I wasn't going to go there on the V6 roping, but if the DD wont work, I'll go for the Best V6, of course that Damn Dave will beat out on that one.
I'll give you the money at the MCOM meeting on Wednesday.
