Oh Snap!! Painted Calipers D/S
So I decided to paint my Calipers last night. While removing the drivers side wheel one of the Wheel studs snapped off!!! I painted the Drivers side and put the wheels on this morning. While trying to remove the lugs on the rear tire on the passenger side my breaker bar snapped. I am like WTF is next.
Well one side is done and now I have to get another breaker bar to finish the job...
Pics of the drivers side...
Notice the missing Wheel Stud!!!
Oh yeah I got my springs today.......Now all I need is an Install day....

I am guessing when I used Nates Gun to put the lugs on I guess I put that one in wrong. I snapped it with my GUNS, trying to loosen it up. I guess that's why my breaker bar broke tonight.....

Looks good Juan. I know the feeling well about snapping a lug. The fronts are easy to replace, the rears......PITA.
If you need a hand on the spring install let me know.

Juan, you said you used the Duplicolor liquid kit? How hard was it and how long did you let each coat sit?
I have the entire red duplicolor kit sitting in my room, but without a lift, it would be very tough for me to do this. Did you have a lift?
Oh and it looks AWESOME!

Juan, didn't you have some problem last time you worked on your car? Maybe you should think about that.

I used my KOBALT 3 Ton Jack and two Jack Stands . I lifted the whole drivers side and left it up on the Jack Stands. After I cleaned them both I just put a coast on the front and then in the rear. After about a minute I went back to the front. I put four coats on each one.

Re: Oh Snap!! Painted Calipers D/S
Hey Juan, they look great, with the exception of that broke stud LOL, now torque the wheels to 80 ft lb this time, and the trick to doing a good job on painting calipers is, sand them first, I used the same spay touch up Sonic Blue paint that I used on the interior parts, and then a clear coat, I was told it wouldn't last a month because I didn't use high temp caliper paint, they still look as good as the day I painted them 1 year and 1/2 {and a whole winter of salt on the roads} ago, just make sure you sand them first.
