Rear Control Arms
My control arms came in. Anything special I need? The instructions say to lubricate the bushings. What kind of lubrication? KY, astroglide, WD40? Seems pretty straight forward otherwise. I don't need to do anything with the grease fittings from the factory, or do I?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Rear Control Arms
poly bushing requires a special grease, it should of came with your control arms or at least tell you which to use.

Re: Rear Control Arms
No pics yet and they are just regular tubular control arms with poly bushings from CJponyparts. Figured I would start basic and that I don't go to the track enough to really wear them out. I mainly got them b/c they were red
I couldn't find any info about what type of lube to use on the installation instructions. It just said to lubricate them. I'll dig around more in the Interwebs tomorrow...was just hoping someone here would already know to save me the hassle

Re: Rear Control Arms
Yeah there is a special poly bushing grease you are supposed to lube them with. Or you could just use multipurpose grease like I did. Havn't had any probs yet but I'm not sure it it breaks down the material or not.

Re: Rear Control Arms
Anyone got any silicone grease that I can buy off them? Apparently you can't find that stuff in stores...WTF?!? I was hoping to do the install this weekend, so I'd rather not have to order it.

Re: Rear Control Arms
FYI...
Why they say to use sylicone, is due to petrolium bases greases will swell the Poly Bushings. When hey swell they become soft and can tear.
Polyurithane Greases and Sylicone Greases work well with poly bushings.
