I have heard so many horror stories regarding problems following the "cleaner/hose" method on the S197s that I've never attempted it. Instead, I took a full day to clean mine by hand, and that meant dipping a long handled brush in a bucket of suds and scrubbing in some hard to reach places. After that, I just keep it looking pretty every time I wash it. Laura and I (07caligtstang) spent an afternoon doing hers, and it was pretty dirty, but it ended up looking better than right off the dealer lot after we sprayed it with detail shine.

Re: ENGINE CLEANING
Pinnacle Natural Brilliance. I don't like the over glossiness that Armor All brings, and this stuff is just shiny enough and lasts well with engine heat.
