Yeah Mike I feel you on this one.....Went by Bob Davidson ford in towson before work today to look at the ones they have on the lot. Really, I'm too scared to take one for a test drive. Because I know how I can be. If I like it I will buy it. So I just choose to go to the dealers and look at them when they are not open so I won't be tempted.

After your payments are up, Heads, Cam and Intake should make you happy. Or if you want to go the FI, go with a SC or Turbo Kit.

I won't test the 5.0 because I know I will do something stupid.

I soooooo want to get a 5.0, but I neeeeeeeed a new tow truck/winter driver, one without 160k miles and a valve train going to shit. In a few months after getting some property issues settled I'll be looking for a low-mid mileage clean F150 4x4 with tow package, or another Expedition (kinda like the roominess).

In 2012 the rumors are hot about a real Boss Mustang for the street, not just the open track version now available. That may be my next Mustang...

Also take a look at 7.3 liter Diesel Excursions. A friend of mine picked one up with 85k for 16k. That truck is a beast and the 7.3 is supposed to be a very reliable motor.

James, that's a consideration, but I need the vehicle to get to work in Rockville during bad weather, and park in the underground garage there. Ceiling limits AND it's a tight squeeze. My Expedition barely makes it, so an Excursion wouldn't work, unless I kept the Expedition for foul weather commuting...then again, I have too many vehicles...
