Re: Moco area
i've got the BBK without a tune and dual exhaust. very noticeable increase in throttle response and acceleration. however, i'm looking for a tune now... haha
Re: Moco area
idk what kind of exhaust i want to get for my mustang. I haven't even thought about it because
a. I'm focused on getting the CAI first
b. I don't have enough money to get a dual exhaust and a CAI lol!
I think i'll just take it one step at a time for now. thanks though

Re: Moco area
mine1317, yes that is the combo I was referring to! For exhaust you might consider looking at the dual exhaust kit from www.newtakeoff.com The kit comes complete with all needed to do the install, and is very reasonably priced

Re: Moco area
Looks like they no longer are selling the dual exhaust kits for the v6, I just looked and they are only selling the mufflers. too bad they had decent prices $299 plus shipping for the entire kit. Oh well
americanmuscle.com has the pypes dual exhaust kit for $474 kinda pricey

Re: Moco area
Well I cant tell you how the mufflers sound in person because I have only heard them on youtube. As far as the Pypes kit is concerned, it is the same thing that came with the duals kit from NTO that I have and they are high quality. the only difference is the mufflers (i have the GT takeoffs)
But that said, AmericanMuscle is a reputable company with outstanding customer service and I highly recommend them to but your parts from.

Re: Moco area
Pypes, not bad, but still not on my list.
GT Take offs, Quiet
Mac's Louder
Cosa's & Borla's loud
Pypes in between Mac's and GT's and ok sound, but not great, far better then Flowmaster or Magnaflow, basically, if it has flow in it, it sounds like crap on a V6

Re: Moco area
You will need that Pypes X pipe converter, it works perfect, I used it on mine, then any GT cat back will fit, you will also need hangers for the left side
Re: Moco area
They all come in the kit Ed ( at least from AM ) and what used to come from NTO. ( on my car)
Kit includes: 2 drivers side hangers, X-pipe, 2 over axle pipes, 2 mufflers, all connecting brackets (no welding required) template to cut rear bumper.

Re: Moco area
OK, I didn't buy a kit, because I couldn't find one that had what i wanted, so I put it together myself, but if that's what someone would want to do, the Pypes X pipe is around $100, no welding
Re: Moco area
I definitely want Ed's mufflers, hmmn we will be in the same place on Saturday muhhaahahhahahahahahha Oh that was out loud

Re: Moco area
Like I said, I wouldn't do Pypes mufflers, but there not all that bad, if I where you I'd do like I did before buying, every v6 I saw that had custom exhaust I asked them to rev it up until I heard the one I liked the best, you cant judge it from the internet, you wont get a true sound, and take it from me, one who has bought as much wrong stuff for my car as I could, you don't want do that, the only thing I got right the first time was the exhaust, well also the wheels and the side scoops.
