Re: need help with paint
I cant see the pick from work, but if you mean its coming off the trunk, you can get the same 3M body tape that the shop will use at auto zone or Advanced, and just take it off and re install it yourself for around $10
Re: need help with paint
Ed would be correct, however what a difference being able to see a pic makes!
Ed, his clear coat is peeling off.
That is a relatively easy fix! Not quite sure what a paint guy/body shop would charge, but they'd have to at least scuff up the clear and re-clear it.
OR
You can order another one from here already prepainted and ready to slap on!
http://www.newtakeoff.com/mustang_gt_rear_spoiler_2005-2008.aspx
I only looked up one Rockville zip code (20847) and it showed $27 shipping for a grand total of $126.99

Re: need help with paint
Not to one up you john, but my car didn't have a wing when I got it, and I found this guy on ebay that has the Take Off's as well, 105 shipped, I paid 135 4 years ago LOL, I scratched the hell out of the first one, and found it cheaper to just get another one, but I would check it out fist, see what Bob's guy would re clear it for.
eBay OEM Wing
If you can wait we can do it the next time we're clearing stuff, just not sure when that will be.

Great job man! I told you would save some money and learn something
Black looks good but a clear coat will match the rest of the pieces.

yea, thanks man it's not done yet. I just wanted to see what it would look like with a black spoiler. I'll post more pictures as soon as I'm done.

Yes on the black to match the side loovers, great job. Do they make the rear window loovers like the old Machs' from the 70's? If so....whataya think of that look? retro!!!

They do and IMO, they look way too bulky on the S197 without a full on body kit...
