Should i take my heads and get new valve guide seals put in.. or pull a set of mercury mountaineer heads and just bolt them on what i have and hope for the best.. because i'm in a rut with not a whole lot of money so my options are limited and feedback would be great Smile

Is it smoking?

Not much improvement in the design of the MM heads.

Personally I would just replace the seals and then save up for a used set of used twisted wedge trick flows, or Victor Jr's.

Just saw on craigslist a set of gt40's with scorpion rr for 600

They can be had fairly cheap these days since no one has much money for race parts.

it's a direct bolt on right.. i wouldn't have to worry about the pistons slapping the valves or whatever?

you'd have to find a set next to nothing and most decent sets go for around 300 and up, cause once you figure in gaskets and fluids, you'll most likely be over budget
