Tint????

Gotta look into getting the wifes new Charger tinted, can anyone recommend a good spot around the Severna Park-Glen Burnie area??? Or link with pricing, thx

Fresh Designs in Ellicot City. They have done all my cars, Mike's, and Zaks. They are right beside Zaks parents. Doug does awesome work.

Mercy did my Stang as well, lost her contact info and didnt know if she messed with anything other than Stangs.

They did all the windows in my Shelby for $250

I used Fresh Designs for my window tint as well. They did a great job and had it done in 45 minutes on a Saturday. I think I paid $165 for all the windows except the windshield done in 20%.

I know Mercy will be around $100

I take that back. I was charged $150.

Word. Fresh Designs. They were fast and I had 3 vehicles tinted as well as 2 remote starts installed so they gave me good deals.

Merci did all my cars. She stands behind he work! Best tint person around! In fact she`s coming out Sunday to tint my Acura. She charges $125 for a Mustang.

Merci did mine, but I was less than happy with the result. I had a couple of hairs in the tint, and still have a couple of tiny bubbles. She didn't do my rear window, because it was too cold that day, so I can't speak for that. Let me know what you go with Juan, because I want to get mine redone. I have a scratch in the passenger window anyway.

Absolute Perfection in eldersburg did mine kind of expensive for me but I did all the windows in ceramic so the cost of the tint is just a lot more expensive not the install. Best tint job I have ever had. Defiantly going back in the future.

So what type of research did you do prior to making your final decision? Did you go with Formula 1 Pinnacle Series film? I have been doing some reading and I am not sold yet, but I like the look it really pops and price is another thing I am not sure I am ready. I am interested in your thought regarding the subject and one other thing have you noticed any signal degradation?

Yeah Formula 1. No signal degradation at all(100% signal transparency). That was the reason I picked. Also Ceramic has the best UV filters so keeping your interior from getting faded, cracked and crappy. Honestly that's all good but if you don't have clarity none of that is worth anything and this stuff is perfectly clear. I put 50% on the windshield for glare reduction and no one even knows its on it looks just like glass.

I have had the other tints before and I will never go back to the lower metalized/charcoal tints again.

The install was awesome and the people were nice.

Tim at A.P. is definitely the man to go to up this way, him or ARC Tint (Jimmy).

I had ceramic to begin with, but when Merci did mine, I think it was just the metallic. I can tell a difference in the front versus the back (where she didn't do). When I have it redone, I'll def do ceramic again. Totally worth it!

Forgot to ask about what % to get, I have the legal 35% on my Pony and while I like it, its def on the lite side, dont want anything pitch black either, what is a good level where it looks good, doesnt block out to much and wont get her in trouble with the Po-Po...

I've got 20% because I have black interior, and I'm happy. Remember whatever you get, it's going on top of stock, so it will be a bit darker than the % you actually choose.

20% all around except 50% on the windshield. My interior is black on black as well. So it does look a little darker and if you have a lighter interior it will look a little lighter. I had way darker on my first car and still never had any problems with any Po-Po activities. They got me for not having a front license plate though... So stupid MD TAG RULES!

Even the 35% tint won't be legal over the factory glass tint so I would just go with 20-25% whatever they have available. It'll just need to come off for inspection IF the vehicle is sold. I have 35% on my '93 but never got the new quarter windows tinted yet, I'm gonna have it all changed to 20% when I do though.

Guy who just inspected my 10' checked it for me and it came out at 28%. Dunno what the tint % was that was put on.

He was cool with tint. Said he has the same on a couple of his hot rods and even in OC the cops don't bother him. Thats why I went to him. He also does a buddy's and his families' vehicles repairs and maintenance. Mine is nowhere near the darkness my buddy has on his H2. Its so dark we call the thing the stormtrooper (white truck)....
