# 5 is pretty motivating except skin-a-max! If you are a vet Ford offers 10% off parts.

Noway it's cupped tires if brand new, BUT...it could be possible one or both of the new rear tires have bad belts/cords in them that will definitely make it seem as if they are cupped. I once got a bad tire and found this out firsthand! My Mazda 3 had a front wheel bearing go bad upon tire/wheel swap and for about a month, I thought it was loud tread. I finally could'nt take it anymore and had it checked out by a trusted mechanic. He said it's not that uncommon to have bearings go upon removal/install of a wheel. That was quite pricey as the parts were over $100! Hopefully it's something relatively easy and affordable!

Re: rear bearings/ diff. humm- whining....???
very similar to a cupped tire... but the deceleration gave it away...
Sounds like an outer wheel bearing. When you slalom does it change sound?

Hadnt noticed if the sound changes, will try and pay attention on tonights ride.
Is it something I NEED to get done ASAP, or can it wait to do in the garage with the required BEER/Pizza???
Have a 7am appt I can keep, guess they can confirm it and tell them I will check back after the holidays for the work, they never said anything about a charge for looking at it????
OR i can intice you over with BEER/Pizza : )

Re: rear bearings/ diff. humm- whining....???
You have to pay the 120 an hour for troubleshooting, unless they dont have to put it on the lift or do more that 10 min.
That price is then applied to the FIX price, if done at a later date. This keeps people from getting troubleshooting done, and taking to someone else, or doing it themselves. It will cost you if you dont get it fixed there. This keeps the Mechanics paid, either way you choose, for their time.
