the stang I've had year and a half. I love it and wish I could have a second car for winter driving but oh well, just makes the drive more interesting lol. I've lived in the mill since about 1990. Just gotta figure oout the next thing I'm going to put in my baby. How about you?

Re: New member here
We bought our house in 98. We sold our cars about 3 years ago. If you travel up and down Olney Mill Rd going and coming from Gold mine you would pass right by my street and see these in the driveway
Mine, sold it on ebay in 2010
Hers, sold about a year later, (taken up at Belmont)
Taken up at longwood
I was a mechanic for 25 years, I had my fox for 16. I just got tired of working on cars and it just wasn't a fun hobby anymore. Sold the cars, never looked back. ( I do miss hanging out w/ the MPS gang though, lotta great ppl and fun times) Now instead of working on cars, I work for Metro and work on trains. Much better job. Should changed long ago
I been riding bikes all my life, my wife got her licence 9 years ago so that's what we do, we ride!!!

Re: New member here
When I was a kid and I mean kid I worked as a mechanic up until I was 15 and then I moved into heavy equipment noperation. I had a 4 year certificate in auto mechanics and the navy wanted me to become an (AS) which is a ground support mech. I liked mechanics but I knew it wasn't for me and I became involved with explosive and ordnance systems and I've been doing that for close to 30 years. Being a mech now for me is strictly for leisure. I guess in todays world mechanics are necessary but being good and not getting burnt out is pretty important. I hope it works either way you go.

Thank you. I've been in school now part time for over a year and have enjoyed the work thus far. As funny as it is the only part I've had a hard time on is the electrical system in tests but so far I love the work and look forward to seeing where things go for me

Re: New member here
How long have you been a student there? Do you go in the eve or day time. I worked there in the automotive department from 08-11 in the evenings. If it hadn't been for being bumped to midnights at Metro I would have still been there. They have one of the best programs in the country for automotive and the instructors there are top notch. Damn this world just keeps getting smaller by the post lol. I hated having to give up that job. It was great part time money.nicholasa631 wrote:Thank you very much, I'm going to Montgomery College in Rockville

Re: New member here
I've been going for just over a year now, I'm going part time during the days. I've enjoyed learning so far and doing some mild work on my car. I would like to be able to leave my car there and retake the engine rebuild class so I can do some more power mods to it hehe
