black gt hood scoop on my white 99 v6

Some guy is selling a black gt hood scoop for about 40 bucks so i told him i was very interested... a good exterior look ehh? But one question, If i were to get it would someone help me bolt it onto my stock v6 hood??? Plus, who thinks it would looko good, seeing that It is black scoop on an all white car.

well you got to know I like black trim, and if you dont like it, lets paint it, I'll help you put it on, and I'm sure other will volunteer as well

I would just make sure that the hood scoop is OEM and not some fiberglass knockoff. I've heard some horror stories about the fiberglass ones coming off going down the highway.
I have an extra OEM hood scoop and spoiler (01-04 pedestal mount) that would just need painting. I have them for sale in the classified section. They are currently Mineral Grey.
I can give you a hand getting it mounted if you need it. Could use my hood as a template since it's already got the holes and everything.

hey guys, especially big blue and pikuoff lol, the guy says that the hood scoop came off a 99 anniversary gt and it comes with the black honycomb insert but he says he never figured out how to put that on?

It only looks like its attached to the hood by 2 screws?!? That one looks OEM but alot different than the one that came off mine. That one looks like you need some heavy duty doublesided tape. Mine has a bracket that holds the honeycomb on it.

Did some quick research and it does look legit. Just not sure about the honeycomb. Check this link:

yeah thanks for the site.. its just if i buy it i would need some massiv ehelp lol it looks like a long process, like an entire daty and yeash the guy said it had double sided tape on it.

I wouldn't skimp on the doublesided tape. Go for the heavyduty 3m stuff. I would imagine that one is easier to install. Only 2 holes compared to like 11 for mine. Shouldn't take too long to install.
