Need opinion on new wheels and tires plz

Okay, SO i am looking into buying this set of 4 rims and tires. They are the black 18x8 bullitt rims with 245 federal tires. The guy selling them said approx 50% tread left. selling for 450$ shipped. Should i buy them?

I will try tomorrow. He has no idea how many miles the tires have been through. He said he bought his 94 cobra with them on it and bought a new set so doesnt need these anymore. That is my biggest concern; that ill be driving, run over a pothole or anything sudden and POP bye bye tires

Yeah, you don't wanna spend 500 bux to find out you gotta buy tires a month later.

but then again if i were to buy these new, the rims alone would be about 500, i mean these here arent exactly new but theres nothing really wrong with them maybe a polish here or there will help
