Passenger Airbag Off button???
The "Passenger Airbag Off "light on the S197 seems to be acting up, cant find anything weight wise in the book that may help....
I noticed yesterday that the light wouldnt stay on while my son was seated, I checked the manual and no listing for a particlular weight that is required, it just saids about being 12 and under riding in the back. It calls to turn car off, have pass get out then reenter veh, this should reset censor, no luck. Thought it was broken and was gonna call the dealer, still under warranty. Today the light came on and stayed on when coming to work with a bag in the pass seat.
Can it be the little guy is over the required weight/height to trip censor? or does it need to go to the shop?? Any input???

Re: Passenger Airbag Off button???
hey Juan,
there was a recall for the passenger airbag sensor and passenger airbag deployment mechanism that i recieved in the mail last year i believe. i think it was a recall for all 2007's......your best bet is to probably get a hold of your dealership and ask some questions!!

TSB for this. Mine has always done this. My wife would sit in the passenger seat and the light would turn on at times. She was 112 lbs.

Re: Passenger Airbag Off button???
Ive actualy had the TSB work done, this is just a recent thing, PITA that the manual doesnt give you a weight/height range, just cant tell if its a malfunction or he's reached THE range.
I guess I should set something up with the dealer, was gun shy of that after hearing of Will's recent issues at Bell....
