couple problems...
Im running into a few problems, seeing if some guys here could help...
My engine is really whining a lot, and as I turn the steering wheel it whines more. So i figured it was the power steering fluid. How do you flush this out so i can add brand new fluid. I tried removing the return hose and draining it, then running the engine and turning the wheel. Yet, the fluid is still brown as I pour in new fluids.
Also I think i need a new belt.
Also, my windshield wipers only work on the highest setting. I am not sure what the problem it. Bad relay switch or something?

Re: couple problems...
both my 95 and 97 whine when i turn the wheel, i guess it's on all mustangs. as for the wiper lever, you'll have to change it, i had the problem on my 95, got a used one from ebay for $10 or so. and never had any problems with it

Re: couple problems...
Those powersteering pumps just love to whine. A good flush will help though. Drop off the return line to the resevior and fill fluid to the top. Fire it up with the return line in a drain pan for only like 2 seconds shut it off. Fill again and repeat till fluid is red.
As for the wiper it sounds like your going to have to replace the multifunction switch.

Yeah those p/s pumps do like to whine. Mine used to do it and it stopped on its own. Yeah sounds like your multifuncion switch may need to be replaced

Re: couple problems...
Before you go buying anything for the wipers, swap out the wiper relay with another one that's in the relay box, good chance that's what it is.

If it was a faulty relay then why would it work on full blast?

Re: couple problems...
Take it from experience. Relays have any number of contacts in them to complete various circuits. Plus it cost nothing to swap in a known good relay to check the wiper system. Swap the Wiper Hi/Lo relay with the Fog Lamps relay and see what happens.

Re: couple problems...
Justin and I installed a new power steering pump in my car. About 5 hours later we got no where because the whining is still there and when I turn It is worse now. We checked all of the hoses etc. Any help?
