Not too tall for me. they are right around 29.5 tall however it fills up my wheel wells perfectly.
It will rob some power having a tall tire like that, however MPH goes up. Mine went up jsut under 10mph

Re: Wheels and Tires what should i go with?
With my power (now 722rwhp) I can get the nitto 555r's to hook on the street mostly through second, and all of 3rd. With under 500rwhp I bet it would hook all of 1st.
Heated up these things are insane on the street, plus they can last you 30k unlike the MT's that last 5k at best...

I love the look of the taller tire but if these are just for drag racing, wouldnt he be better off with something shorter than what you have based on his power?

Well lighter is better, however the stock rims will be fine. The main thing is you want at least a 10" wide rim to accomidate a wide tire.
If you have the money get a drag wheel. I thought you were just using your stock rims and running this on the street. Drag only rim and tire combo, I would go for some 15" rims with a drag radial like MT's. They are sticker than the Nittos

Re: Wheels and Tires what should i go with?
If want the junkiest DRs out there go ahead and buy a set of NITTO DRs. I am not saying that I am not a fan of NITTOs, it that there DRs are junk. The reason the last so long is because the tire compound is a lot harder than most of their competitors. If I was going to get a set of drag wheels. Being only for track use and that is it. I would look into a set of Diamond Racing Wheels and a decent set of M/T street E/Ts. Just remember you are buying tires to help you get off the line quicker, not for some brand name. Go with what works. I would also suggest before you go on only what one person says on this forum. Go to a more performance oriented forum and post POLL and ask reasons why people chose a certain tire. I also speak from the stand point of having an IRS and DRs like NITTOs equal broken half shafts. You should also looks into making sure that you have decentlly set up suspension. Your Roush is more than likelly set up more for twisties than the 1/4 mile. Another thing is you are looking in the right direction. That 60 Foot is half the battle. If you can get your 60 foot down then you will see a pretty decent improvement in your E/T no doubt about it.

Re: Wheels and Tires what should i go with?
Oh and I almost forgot. If you like your car Don't drive on the street with any kind of slick. It doesn't matter if it is a DR or not. You are more likelly to spin out or loose control of your car if they get wet. IE moister on the road. We have had many instances in MACA where our member where taking it easy and for no apparent reason their car would do a 180- or 360. The problem was always traced back to DR. Slicks are for the track not the street Period. Not saying you can't put them on before you go to the track.

Re: Wheels and Tires what should i go with?
E/T Streets FTW, and go 17's you're not pushing the type of HP that TT_05 is, 18's are heavier and larger, 17's will lower your ET's. That is if they are only for Racing, if they are not then roll with the 18, but I seen your car, it looks good with the Factory wheels so I'll assume these are for racing only, and will recommend a set of 17*9's with E/T streets. And if you are really interested I have a set at the house here for sale, that I used 5 times (20 Total runs). Black Bullit 17's with 26 x 11.50x17LT MT E/T's, as my car is too pretty to beat on the track anymore ;p That and I have a child now that eats all my time up
