Guess who is in the 12 SEC CLUB?!!!!!!

Went to MIR today for their TnT. John and I usually don't travel that far to race, BUT I needed to get that 12 sec timeslip before the season was over, and I knew I wasn't going to get it at Mason Dixon.

As some of you know, I recently put in my 4.10 gears. I also bought 275/40-17 Mickey Thompsons. Perfect combo to go with my set up.

First one was my nervousness run. Pulled off a 1.83 60ft. and ran a 13.1 at 104MPH. Pulled off a personal best with that one. I knew it was going to be a good day after that. The track felt great and the car was running strong.

Went back to the pits. Checked my tire pressure and saw it was running a little high so I lowered it to 18. Why I did that, I don't know. If it ain't broke don't fix it right?!!!

My next 2 runs were shyt. 13.2 at 103MPH and 13.5 at 99MPH(missed 4th gear). I was bogging a bit off the line so after those 2 runs I knew I shouldn't have touched the damn tire pressure after the first run. Put the tire pressure up to 22psi.

Waited for a good hour or so because they were doing that gambler's run crap. Meanwhile, john got tired of waiting so he swapped his street tires back on. He was done for the day. Finally called us back up to the lanes. IT"S GO TIME!

Did a nice smokey burn out and then dumped the clutch at 5500rpm. The run felt great! Got a 12.98 at 103MPH with a 1.79 60ft. I WAS STOKED!!! I had to check the ticket 3 more times to make sure it was me. Came back to the pits with a shyt eating grin on my face and John knew I had it. I accomplished my goal. In the 12 second club!!!

Hell yes. Very nice run Laura. Next season my goal is to get it into low 14s

Weird that you had to raise your pressure up to 22 with the MTs. I was running high 1.7s and low 1.8s with that pressure and i dropped down to 16 and was getting mid and low 1.7s.

Congrats on the pass. That is odd that you had to raise the tire pressure but good job anyweay.

Sweetness, that's gotta be a good feeling. That's my goal next spring I need DR's and an IRS brace and some more seat time and I should be good

Thanks guys! I know the car has more in it. I wanted to run again, but it was getting late. Next year I will continue to work on the small things to help me improve more and more.

Nice run. I always run 16 psi and seem to get my best passes. But awsome 60fts. Sorry I could not make it. Gonna try and go the Sunday, so maybe I can make it into the mid 11's club.
