My point was in the opinion of many (including his police chief) it was a major over reaction to the situation. We all have our opinions of the matter and I hope the investigation is fair and objective as possible...

And to poke fun at your last statement, yes, I have been hit with a snowball. Thats why I carry my Remington 870 assault shotgun, just in case any of those snowball throwing bastards want to mess with my badged ass...

Ah ok, in any case, the question still stands, how much abuse is a person supposed to take before reacting? I'm not saying the guy was right or wrong. He pulled his gun, but it's not like he held it to someone's head. We're getting the media's side of the story here, and we all know how fair they are.

Fair shouldn't even be in our vocabulary anymore...........

I guess my point was the guy tried to squash an ant with a hammer. Pulling a gun over a snowball was way over the line (in my opinion and frankly that of his chief) and to me part of a head trip.

Like I said quite clearly, I have the utmost respect for law enforcement and have a long family history in the force (my brother, for example, is a retired AACo Detective). But being close I've also met my share of folks that use the badge to intimidate and harass, and could care less about serve and protect. All walks of life, all professions, have their winners and losers, and peace officials aren't immune. My point was simply, what's next, a napalm run for jaywalking?

The day that "I" a humble taxpayer, can beat someone up for throwing a snowball at me, I will be a supporter of that cop pulling a gun on those idiots.

There is a proper reaction to any situation, he failed at making the proper decision.

I saw that on the News, It was rediculous that he would do that, It's not like he was specifically targeted for race or religion, just a bunch of people having fun then it turns to possible gun violence.

Back to the guy in the store who tried to shoulder check you for no reason, good job in showing him he just can't act that way without reprocussion.
