July Cruise? - Eastern Shore
JULY 11TH - (unless there is any other big event that day)
After doing the DC Cruise this year, I had such a blast. I would love to plan another one! Any thoughts on this cruise? It's from the Lowe's in Bowie to Tilghman Island, MD. Tilghman Island is a small maritime island on the eastern shore. St. Michael's and Easton are on your way there which may be a great place to get lunch. Tilghman also has a great restaurant called Harrison's, which serves excellent Seafood. So maybe this could be a morning, to a late lunch kinda cruise. Or a early afternoon to dinner kinda cruise. There is also many great photo opportunities on the island and in surrounding areas. Here are a couple pictures of the area at Tilghman. (under the maps)
I'm just trying to get an idea of how many people would be interested in a cruise like this. Comments/suggestions are welcome!

Considering all the work you've already put into it this is might be a keeper. Please note that many of us travel to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina for Mustang Week July 19-25th, so you might want to work around that set of dates.

I'll keep that in mind. I've been down there before so I know the area pretty well. Hopefully we can get a good group together like we did for DC. July 11th is the day that works best for me to run it, so that's what I'm thinkin.

Re: July Cruise? - Eastern Shore
The thing we will have to keep an eye on is the time we would cruise due to traffic at the Bay bridge toll plaza. It can get backed up for miles during the summer.

i know, i don't know how to change it. i think only admins can move topics.
i'll post up details at a later date. i imagine mid april-ish so we can really get the ball rolling.

Re: July Cruise? - Eastern Shore
thanks juan!
alright, so i'm feeling this is a good idea. i'll post a new topic in mid-april about the date and all the details and i'll start getting takers. i imagine we'll be crossing the bay bridge, eastbound, between 11 AM and 12 noon. hopefully that won't be too much a problem. however, i know that will be a problem on the return route. because we'll be finished with lunch around 4-5 pm. perfect for rush hour time....
just make sure everyone tries to keep SUNDAY, JULY 11TH free on their calendars
