Another update, she will be running tommorow "hopefully" if we work hard enough.
"PLEASE": Do not comment on how dirty my engine bay is right now.. only "temporary"
This has been a good experience so far and I just hope the finishing product was worth all the blood, sweat and tears that me and my father put into it.
Got alot done today!
Valve covers: I decided to forget about the white.. it wasn't going to work out and still look nice. So Ford Blue it is.
Same with the intake manifold, t/b and egr spacer, all ford blue now, and the combination looks pretty good IMO.
All comments/criticism appreciated.
Smog pump delete pulley difference
FLASH WAS ON, thats why the blue looks brighter..

Hahaha, well, I never though of it like that... but the only reason why we paint on the floor is because it needs to be redone. It looks pretty bad, one day me and my dad will redo it. Anyways, making a video right now. It's a before/after video so look for it within the next hour or 2!

Felt like driving a new car, stalled comin out of my driveway to be completely honest, but that was because the timing was screwed up and we were experimenting.
First time I cracked into it, (sadly was not recording) I was in the process of turning out of my neighborhood and I cracked it a bit and smacked 2nd and the rear end swung all the way into the oncoming lane hahahaha
Now it sounds much more growly, I wish I had a better audio catching camera, the video sucks compared to real life.
The car is much more fun to drive now and I barely sacrificed any driveability. And it is awesome to pull up to a stop light and just hear that cam crackle and pop and the car shake.
Anyone that doesn't have heads and a cam in there 5.0, trust me when I say it is worth every penny and hour of labor you put in.

Thanks! I owe the putting it together to my dad, he really is a hero to me when it comes to working on cars, he has taught me so much with this car. I am up to $14,000 invested into this fox, but that money amounts to nothing when it comes to the amount on knowledge I have gained

Payed $4,000 for the car w/ 65k miles on it, rust in hiding spots and engine bay, needed lots of attention. Payed $4,000 for body work and paint, then lots of goodies and add-ons. I payed $200 for EACH GT tailights from prestige junkyard because I couldn't find them anywhere else. All new lights all around, new sunroof trim, new interior carpeting and headliner, H pipe, 3:55 rear, tons more crap I could list and bore you with But, I actually saved ALOT of money, I can't imagine how much labor would have cost if me and my dad didn't do the work.

well since we're both in montgomery county you better watch out for the new portable speed cameras being dropped off in random locations. once you see the white lines its too late!! they look like trash cans and some like electric boxes theyre pretty small and hard to spot at night. watch out for them! especially since your car wraps up real quick now haha

Haha, yea the closest ones I know of are in Damascus on rt. 27 and in poolesville. In the video it hooked pretty good, but if I gave it all it had in 1st it just spins all the way through 2nd.

Haha, how do you suggest I do that. Spun all the way through second today, smacked it to the floor in 1st at about 5mph. Fixed my timing, runs alot better! My dad played with the fuel levels, the idle is perfect.

Ok, so I fixed my timing with the spout connector disconected, and now it idles much better and the throttle response is instant.

Lol, you should build one, so you can test drive it whenever you want. Fairly cheap, here's what I payed: $371 for remanufactured gt40p heads, $180 for B-303 cam, $50 for Edelbrock performer timing chain, $30 for smaller belt for smog pump delete, $100 for explorer upper/lower intake, $50 in paint, $200 in felpro gaskets, $70 in oil/antifreeze.
$1,051 and I do not regret doing it. Possibly the best mod we've done to the car so far.
For those who missed this video at the bottom of page 3...

If I end up taking it to the track, I will definately record it and show a slip. I have never taken mine to the track before, i'm sure I will eventually.
