Well I said I wasnt going to get it today but I did. Just picked it up.

heres my $.02......

so,... i have been playing it nonstop since about 1:00am...

and from what i have played (only multiplayer) it is a good game except it could've been made a lot better. especially since cod4 pretty much set the standard, and MW2 closely behind. WaW inho isnt even in the same realm or games.
First of all, the graphics arent the greatest, considering the rapid developments in these amazing tv's and such.

Secondly, the game lacks an overall Kills and Death and K/D, instead they are broken down into the different game modes (team deathmatch, headquarters,etc). I know, even myself, like to know our overall stats.

Thirdly, you must buy EVERYTHING. even when you unlock a gun, you still must buy it. even the perks. and red dot and such. Its just annoying. like, if i unlock it, then give it to me for free.

The layout at the multiplayer menu looks a lot like the Halo3 menu, the way the teams are setup, the way the level choosing is picked, and even a lot of the emblems used to customize your own are striaght from halo 3.

I have yet to play single player, which i expect to be amazing (we'll see about that).

overall ill give this game a 6/10 (thus far) on a scale giving cod 4 a 10

the game is pretty good

I give it a 5-6/10. I haven't tried online yet. The storyline just isn't that interesting to me. It's like just constant flashbacks and different periods of time. Some of the stuff is pretty cool but also overdone. I rate it down with WaW honestly. The game is alright, but it's not Infinity Ward.

here is my pet peve of sorts. PPl always compare games to other games. How the guns shoot how accurate they are, The kill box. What they dont understand is the true nature of shooting a gun. There is no auto aim, There is no instant aim down sights. Some ppl need to go shoot real guns to truly know how a gun really shoots. And develipers really need to make it truly realistic. In some games when ur aiming down sight the gun is still WTF. Try that crap in real life. You cant hold it long, And you def cant hold it steady for crap. Trust me go to boot camp. You will know what im talkin about. Theres my rant. Now time to go kill ppl in cod or medal of honor, Or halo. Idk i got most of them:)

+1, i agree with chris, most of these games are made for entertainment so the realistic aspect is taken out. in saying that i think the developers should be on a range shooting the guns that they are putting into these games. it would make the kill boxes more realistic for what type of weapon you are firing

the campaign is pretty good. although, you can tell that activision and tryarch deffinately rushed to release this. I wish infinity ward wouldve made this, but instead, activision fired them. See, Infinity Ward wanted to take their time on this game and make it PERFECT, so they tried fighting for the call of duty rights. however, activision wanted to meet its 'once a year' call of duty output, instead of perfecting the game, so they fired infinity ward. Once i found this out, i lost all respect for activision. I hope the new company that is forming from the old infinity ward makes a badass shooter that'll make activision cry!!!!!
