Car is back running but still not what it was

I finally made it back to the track Last Friday (Oct 28, 2011) almost a year and a half lator,
and I did not beat my best time but I was consistant. Most importang the Car is back and running again!!

The Telmps were in the low 50's but the humidity was 50% so the DA was lot as low as I was hoping but it was still a good day.
I have some tuning issues to take care of, A/F all over the place, shift points off and I still have a slight blog at launch
but I am happy that it's running where I was before the car broke... Now just have to figure out how to get into the 11's
so I can change my plate again and chase down John, (Boss281) HEHEHE..

What a long wait, but hell, given the problems you're not that far off. Sort them out and I think that 11.9 is yours.

By the way, I just got my new clutch which bites like a mofo so I'm chasing my 11.6 on Nov 12 at the Cecil drag rental. Keep on chasing me Scott!!

EDIT: just looked closer at that last pic. Catching some air buddy!!!! What were your 60s?

Wow, 11.6 not sure I will catch up to that, my car still weights in at 3380 lbs I will to put it on a diet...
Congrats on the great time..

My 60' were not that great, 1.720, 1.734, 1.741 the track was well prepped and sticky as hell, my feet stuck to it when I walked on it. but then again MIR does a great job at preping, we paid extra to prep the first 330' of the left side for drag radials; then a pro mod hit the DR side with a 5.6 @ 251 MPH what a site to behold.


There was some GM guys there with GTO's and CTS V Caddies and a couple camaros, one guy was holding the wheels up the entire 60'


A Lightning was also lifting the wheels


The Most Amaizing Mustang of the day was a guy from Texas with a new 2012 5.0 with just a Tune and Drag radials getting air under both tires. he ran a 12.1 @ 114 with a stock intake and paper filter.


The most impressive Car of the day was a guy from Saginaw, Michigan with his wifes 2011 Red Candy Flex Limited with EcoBoost V6 Twin Turbo running 13.4 @ 110 mph with just a tune. He even had his luggage in the back

who is renting cecil county dragway this weekend..i live really close by.......

Bill Tumas from CJ Ponyparts. SuperStallions used to hold this rental in the spring and fall, but didn't do anything this year based on a perceived lack of interest. So Bill rented the track with his own money, and opened up prepays to everyone. 91 registered, and they will take money at the gate.

Not sure if I feel like racing this year though despite being prepaid...
