Water-Meth? Empty Water-Meth?

Post by rgoddard Mon Oct 27, 2014 11:51 am

So I have a friend who owns a procharged 03 viper and he is running a water-meth setup just to help keep air charge temps down but he doesn't tune for it. He says he uses it just for reducing the temps not for power. I am in the same boat. I don't want to make anymore power right now because I know the Block can't handle it. I always thought it had to be tuned or that it would cause more power regardless if it was tuned that way. Anyone know anything about running these setups? If its true I really want to look at this.

i run a meth kit on mine for the sole purpose that it's non-intercooled as well as it allows me to run more timing for mo' powa' and it's tuned to the effect of more timing

Do you think it would be safe and actually work for me?

I run a old afm mechanical kit, works great....for your ride snow performance has a good kit, they are rather pricey, 400-500 and it's all electronic,  safe??  there is no real danger, it'll lower IAT'S, I run one as I have no intercooler, if you have such the meth will lower IAT'S even more and you'll pic up some power, with meth kits and the ability to run more timing it can add an easy 40-70 rwhp more
