2010 Camaro
Okay, so some people on another forum are trying to tell me that the new Camaro resembles the Mustang; I say BS, it resembles a first gen Camaro as it was designed to do. What say you?

The outside of the camaro doesnt look bad at all, except for the rear-end; Cant stand the tailights at all.

Re: 2010 Camaro
i really like the new camaros but they are already getting old and they havent even came out yet. They've been pushed back so many times since the debut in th transformers movie like 4yrs ago. I think the front bumper, mainly the headlights and grille, resemble the 2010 mustang. I saw both in person at the DC Auto Show

Re: 2010 Camaro
Most non biased people think it looks as good if not better than the Mustang. The new Camaro is really going to embarass a ton of Mustang owners going light to light. The V-6 Camaro is putting down as much as our V-8's. That's disgusting. I remember what it was like on the streets in 1986 - 1992 and it wasn't pretty. We were out powered then and we're out powered now. If you're a soldier in this never ending war with Chevy and Mopar now is not the time for bolt-ons. Forced Induction should be forced on everyone. I'm glad to see Bernie, TT 05 Stang, and a few others here are ready for war! Friends don't let friends drive stock.

86 - 92?
Im pretty sure the Fox Body Mustangs out ran Third Gen Camaros pretty easy...even in stock form.
In 93 the Mustang was unchanged, the Camaro went to its fourth gen, and the LT1.

Re: 2010 Camaro
No it didn't. The Fox body which is my favorite Mustang couldn't hold a candle to the IROC-Z, Pontiac GTA, Monte Carlo SS and definitely not a Grand National. What were you driving then?

1993 introduced the Cobra which gave Mustang fans a fighting chance.BCP wrote:86 - 92?

Couldnt hold a candle? Granted, the GN was faster, but the Iroc was not....not sure what the GTA T/A ran at the time. A stock fox with a skilled driver and a five speed could dip into the 13's with traction. Even the magazine boobs prove your theory inaccurate; while the Mustang didnt win in their drag strip tests, it was by far not a blow our for the F Body...in fact it is close enough that even a slightly better driver would have changed the outcome. Read it for yourself, straight from 1988 http://www.thirdgen.org/rt-camaroiroczvsmustangho-1988
a 5.0 GT (15.3 @ 91.5) was .1 slower than a 5.7 IROC (15.2 @ 91.5)...with the same mph. Hardly what id call not being able to hold a candle to.
a 5.0 GT (15.3 @ 91.5) was quicker than the 5.0 IROC ( 15.4 @ 91.5).
0-60 was the SAME for the 5.0 GT and the 5.7 IROC...and the GT got better fuel mileage.
I seriously doubt a stock Monte Carlo SS with its powerhouse 305 would win either.
..and I drove an 83 Chevy Chevette from around 1990 till 1992 when I graduated, since I was a poor teenager working a part time job at the local Ford dealer.

Yeah, with those thirty extra horsepower (over a 93 GT/LX), Ten extra over the 87-92! Whoo Hoo!

Re: 2010 Camaro
I like the car, but it don't look like a Mustang, I've heard that as well, it's bull, as for that damn V6 of theirs, I don't think I have a chance, and I cant afford all that forced induction stuff, if I could, I'd damn sure have an X charger on Blue

Re: 2010 Camaro
Looks like the Pontiac Trans Am GTA was another 15 seconds of quarter mile GM fury, so again, i wouldnt say the Fox Mustang couldnt hold a candle to any of the cars you mentioned, aside from the GN.
