Wheel/Tire ??'s and Photoshop : )
So its that time again for Juan to think about tires/wheels….
The 07 has 60K on the stock tires now so I will be needing new rubber soon. I was thinking of getting the OEM Nero Zero’s which seem to have held up good. With the new tires in my future I start thinking about NEW wheels again. I sent an email to CJ’s to inquire on wheel spacers. Im interested in seeing if I can put 07 Bullitts on the 66 coupe. If I can then I have to decide which way I want to go………
1-get another set of used Bullitts for the 66 and new rubber for the 07 (Bullitts on both)
2-get new wheels/tires for the 07 and put my old Bullitts on the 66 (which wheel for 07)
3- get new rubber for the 07 Bullitts and new wheels for the 66 (stock 65-66 steel wheel)
I like the stock Bullitts on the 07 but would like to eventually change the 14” steel wheels on the 66. Don’t know what the 17”s will look like or handle on the 66.
Here are some pics of the cars, can anyone photoshop Bullitts on the 66 and what ever you may think would look better on the 07.
I flip flop on which setup I should get. Less expensive way I guess would be to pick up some used Bullitts with decent rubber on them.
What do you all think…………….

The shading is off but here is a quick representation...
Should be a tad bit darker in that picture due to one being in the sunlight and the other being in the shade side of the car.

TBH, I prefer the classic look of those wheels on the 66 vs the bullitts.
Are you looking for all season tires for your '07 or summers only? I'm not a big fan of pirelli's after they failed on me. I went with nitto 555.

Well went with the lower profile tire, I like it better...
Lowered the car about 2", but couldnt figure out how to rake it right... My PS skillz suck... So I just ripped the picture in half and lowered it the same rake as your car sits now. Really would look nice with a level or slicght forward rake...

Re: Wheel/Tire ??'s and Photoshop : )
Just talked to a CJ rep, he doesnt suggest adding the sapcers needed for this application, said its to much, couldnt speak to what folks have done via forums but wouldnt recommend going over a 6" rim especially up front, would rub against the lip because it would be too wide.
Looks like new rubber for the Bullitts will be in order and I hope to look at the 66 Steel or Magnum wheels.....

I had those on my car when I got it, but they came off after three weeks/less than 3000 miles, so I have no idea of their lifespan. I got about 40K miles out of my first set of the OEM 18" BFG KDWS. I was impressed enough to buy them again and they now see about 10K miles a year while doing winter duty and as the front runners at the track.
