spark wiring kit

anyone know where I can get a good spark plugs, spark wires, distributor cap kit at for a good price? and whaqt brand is the best? one of my wires is arcing and is causing severe missfiring.

Since your motor is stock i would get some autolite spark plugs, wires cap and rotor all from advanced auto parts. For wires i went with MSD since when my car was stock ran like a champ with autolite plugs and original equipment cap and rotor. Advanced auto should have everything. Im still running the same MSD wires now with my combo never had a problem with them

what size wires? ive seen 8.5mm, 9mm, and 10mm

Im not sure what size the OEM wires are think theyre 8.5's but you want to get the OEM wires

oem cap and rotor and for a decent set of wires, go to advance auto and ask for the professional series autolite wires, I run them on my 89, they are 8mm and get a set of autolite plugs

I was going to get the MSD cap and rotor, MSD wires, and autolite spark plugs all from advanced. sound good?

IF you want to spend the extra money then go for it.

I have always liked the Ford Racing wire set, and will save you some money. you can get them for 41 a set. I have a MSD 6AL box, 24lb injectors, and a MAF meter cal'd to them if you're interested.

what is the msd 6AL box? and how much for the 24lb injectors and MAF? how big of a MAF?

only $41? where at?? the MSD wires are friggin $99 lol. and then what type of distributor cap shall i get??

that would be good for you to buy to use in the future when you finally start tearing into your car and building it . MSD 6AL is an ignition box. Im running a MSD 6AL2 on my fox because of the supercharger. 99 dollars is way cheaper than what i payed for mine 4 years ago. but if thats out of your range then just get some OEM wires along with the OEM cap and rotor and autolite plugs. just so your car can drive and get rid of the misfire. did you change your fuel filter? might as well to complete the tune up

first decide what your build will be in the future before goin after inj and a maf, with your motor in stock form those upgrades will not be benificial until you add a h/c/i in the future

Well i plan on h/c/i but not sure when.

I am going to get the autolite spark plugs. but how much of a spark difference is there between MSD wires and ford racing wires?? same with the rotor and cap

nothing you will really notice at this time. never investigated what the resistance values were between the 2. i just picked one and they work just as good when the car was BONE stock to what it has become this day

If i dont find anything at carlisle friday, then saturday im hitting up autozone for the MSD distributor cap and rotor kit and the autolite platinum spark plugs, and the plaza ford near me for the blue ford racing spark plug wires

alright have fun. thats too much damn runnin around for tune up stuff for me but it your $$$ and ride LOL

don't put platnuim plugs in !!! a standard autolite 25 resistor core plug is what you want.
