Bumper help
Which one do you think would look best on my car, I like them both
Ikon
or Cobra R
And that would be with the grill I have now

Re: Bumper help
I kinda like the IKON one better, but with the lower vents blacked out vs billet

Re: Bumper help
No it will either be open or have a black grill, I got rid of all the front chrome.conejo172 wrote:I kinda like the IKON one better, but with the lower vents blacked out vs billet
I like them both, but I'm leaning towards the Ikon
Re: Bumper help
Cobra R...but you know how low it is. I am always looking out for roadkill and intersections.
With mine lowered I have 'maybe' 4 inches of ground clearance and it is compounded by the Bubba lip really sticking out there.
One other thing to consider...mounting hardware etc. My Cobra R came in with no hardware at all, I had to fabricate everything, new belly pan under the radiator to help hold the bumper out, extend the wheel well fairings, and mount the turn signals.
All that said though, I really love the Cobra R.

Re: Bumper help
Thanks for the insight, and I saw your car on one of the sites I looked at the bumper on, I thought that was yours.
Re: Bumper help
Yes my not good friends at CruisinConceptswholesale.com probably...I definitely do not endorse or recommend them, VERY bad service on two different orders with them. Unfortunately they were the only source for the hood.
They took those photos at Mustang Week last year.

Re: Bumper help
I say IKON.
The Cobra R looks sweet in black, but not sure how well it would suit the S197 in a lighter shade...
Have you looked at the Steeda bumper? I don't even know if it will fit the V6, but looks similar to the IKON.

I saw John's on the Sonic Cruise in Nov. The "Great Republic of Riviera Beach", cast (2) votes for the R bumper (minus the driving lights in the upper grill, blue needs air). Go Blue

Re: Bumper help
call me crazy... but i'm not really a fan of either.
i fell the cobra r is for the 99-04 models more than it is for the s197s or higher...
here's my vote:

Re: Bumper help
I like the cervini too, but cost unfortunately is a factor, and that one looks awful low for Balto City streets every day of the year, and the Ikon is poly urethane, not fiberglass so it gives, again, every day on Balto streets, I can afford the 2 I put up.
The one I really want is
But the best price I could find was $600 shipped, and then it would need to be painted, I'm sorry but there aint no bumper worth that much money

Re: Bumper help
I swear sometimes I wished I had an 05-09 S197 just to take advantage of the stock pile of parts that Bob has...seems to have new stuff every time I go there too, which is often.

Re: Bumper help
And its a California special, not real exited about that, if it was a California dream bumper like my hood that would be different, so if I don't find anything interesting used, I think it'll be the Ikon
