Cobra Bumper...
So the other day I got a savings bond my grandparents had purchased for me in 1993...its worth almost a grand now!
Since I need new tires Im gonna cash it in and buy myself new tires...but I kinda wanna us the rest of the money for a 04 Cobra front bumper (and for those of you who know me the best, know Ive wanted one of those forever!) so my question is will it bolt right up?

Re: Cobra Bumper...
cobra bumper may rub on a non 03/04 cobra hood....may rub or may need the hood positioned up slightly to clear. have done tons of research on the 03/04 termi front clip.

Re: Cobra Bumper...
i did a bunch of research on this topic/issue on moddedmustangs forums....peole said that header panels were the isssue....people said that core supports could eb thwe issue. people said that it was only the termi hood or only the bumper that caused issues. fact is that the termi hood and termi bumper are made for each other. one without the other results in required modification...yet in reality...everything is/requires modification because there is no such thing as a bolt on part. nothing fits like it is supposed to or is expected to.
the termi hood when mated with say a gt bumper requires the gt bumper to have about 1/2inch of filler added in height to the center section of the bumper at the ends of the center grille and inside of the headlight area.....(do you understand the section i am describing) filler muust be added because not enough adjustment exists to lower the hood so that it mates to the front bumper like a factory gt hood does.....vice versa is truefor fitting a termi bumper on a gt with a gt hood. the termi bumper is made for the termi hood that does not sit as low as a gt hodd. thus, contact exists. one can take some of the contact out of it, pending the amount of adjustment one wants to raise the front edge of the hood, or one can shave and re fill the termi bumper pieces so that the hood may be left in place and alone....all is consistent when one tries the termi bumper with any non termi designed part. so a termi style hood made for a gt....may still need to be adjusted compared to a true termi clip and true termi hood.....all depends upon source of body parts, amount of adjustment available and willingly to make on one's ride, whether the part is a mold of many molds (somethign cheap and made from many reproductions molds) or a mold made from the same original mold all the time...for example a manufacturer specific part....soem people have had issues with fitment more than others. its a risk one takes....just beware of what possibilities may lurk ahead of you.....youu trying to do a termi front only or whole termi clip?.....regardless all parts are basically interchangeable and the parts that cause the fitment issue are the bumper and hood...not header panel, not core support, not body/frame etc....most/the original termi bumper has its own version of a grille delete made onto the bumper...thus one may need the cobra grille delete kit or grille kit so they can change the cobra to a pony or such......(tooo vague? too detailed? this help?....calls to ford dealer and late model resto resulted in the final analysis that its a bumper and hood mated for one another...like an arranged marriage---lol)
