18x9.5s all round ?

18x9.5s all round ?
Are there any benefits/arguments for having wider wheels up front????
Most of the "track minded" cars like the Boss 302 or even the BMW's M3 run 18x8.5F 18x 9.5R so I'm thinking if it's good enough for those it should be good enough for my 09 GT, that's why I'm wondering why the Shelbys run x9.5 all around....
I know that's the setup for the GT500's and I see some posts about people running that here so I thought about that for my daily driver '09 GT.
I wanted to get those below because they're really light, Tire tack recommends x8.5 Front x9.5 Back but I thought would 9.5s all round be ok?

I have 275/40-18 up front on 18x9 wheels, lowered 1.5" and I've never had any issues... You should be fine.
