Clutch..
When I first start my mustang and after it warms up a bit My gears grind for some reason especially 1st and 2nd gear. I am pressing the clutch down all the way. What's the deal? :swear:

Re: Clutch..
How many miles on the Clutch?
Do you powershift 1st and 2nd often?
Couple causes of this grinding.
1. Syncronizers are worn, and going fast.
2. Clutch cable stretched, can be fixed with a firewall adjuster

Re: Clutch..
She almost has 52000 Miles and I don't Power shift. I don't beat her up . I think I've only burned rubber twice with it.

Re: Clutch..
Might Want to ask Bernie, but those are the most common causes for grinding...

Re: Clutch..
^^^It's a Mustang! Drive her like she wants to be driven!!! LOL
My tranny has been a little funky since I've owned it. 1st and 2nd are a little touchy if you don't hit them perfectly. I've put about 25k miles on it since I've had her and no issues ahve come from it and it hasn't gotten any worse (and I drive it like I stole it). I don't know if there is a problem but I've heard the Tremec tranny in our car tends to get like that (not sure if that's a good or bad thing). My MGW shifter kinda made the grindy feeling a little more noticeable but if you work the stick right, it slides in no problems! Sorry, had to get that out...
